This and the other lesson are fantastic. I can imagine how this was rather mind-bending. Aren’t we supposed to be satisfied with romance (Twilight) or sports (LeBron James having a one-hour special to announce where he is going to play next season) or anything else?
My sense is that the church does not do an adequate job of connecting the dots. It’s great to know what Scripture says. But how does that increase our knowledge of and delight in God?
I cannot upload the slideshow for that yet, but in a nutshell, it comes from knowing him as He IS. This is submission to His own self-revelation: The Bible. I am convinced that if people really know Him and really cultivate their relationship with Him, they will savor in Him and will see the other things as plastic. More to come.
